Debbie Clelland
Dr. Debbie Clelland has over 30 years of experience in counselling and counsellor education, teaching in a master’s program and supporting the development of future practitioners.
​
Her focus is on helping people to navigate climate-related distress, using nature-based approaches and community action to foster hope and wellbeing.
​
In addition to helping out where she can, Debbie also serves on the Advisory Board of Possible by Design, bringing her expertise in mental health and resilience to guide the organization's work. She is proud to stand alongside her sister Lori in inspiring self-care, planet-care, and constructive action on the climate crisis. ​Debbie has a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology and a PhD in Educational Psychology.

Denis Connor
Dr. Denis Connor is an engineer, cleantech innovator, and long‑time advisor to public and private sector leaders working on climate and technology. His career spans Bell Labs, MDA, and executive roles in emerging clean‑energy ventures including QuestAir, Svante, General Fusion, Carbon Engineering, and Rethink Climate. He has also served as CEO of the Science Council of BC and as Global Practice Lead for Cleantech at Global Affairs Canada.
As a Founding Director of Possible by Design, Denis brings technical depth and strategic clarity to this complex systems challenge. A proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he is deeply committed to building a sustainable future.​

Ginette Amos
As a supportive and forever-friend of Lori's, Ginette shares the love of spending time outdoors and being surrounded by nature. Motivated by the vision and mission of Possible by Design, through her involvement Ginette hopes to inspire and support others in learning about climate-friendly practices so they feel empowered to make informed choices that foster a healthy and sustainable way of living.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, exploring new places, discovering different cultures, and spending quality time with friends & family.​​​

Hollie Roberts
Having had the privilege of working with Lori for several years, Hollie has witnessed firsthand her drive, passion, and energy to make a better world. When Lori described her dream of Possible by Design, she was hooked.
​
Hollie is a teacher by training who began her career in the classroom before moving into program management. When the opportunity arose to work in the climate change sector, she eagerly embraced it. She spent 16 years at Carbon Engineering, progressing through several roles before serving as Manager of Human Resources, and recently retired from the organization.
Hollie lives in Squamish, BC, where she enjoys biking, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, and spending time outdoors with family & friends.​​

Jessica Guetre
Jessica cares deeply about creating a more hopeful future. Inspired by her mother’s vision and commitment, she is proud to support Possible by Design and its mission to foster positive change for both people and the environment.
​
She brings technical expertise to the organization and believes that meaningful change is achievable when people come together with creativity and purpose.
​
Outside of her work life, Jessica enjoys spending time in the outdoors exploring nature and sharing those experiences with friends.

Volunteer, Executive Director
Lori Guetre
Lori brings over 33 years of experience in engineering, business development, finance, and executive leadership across aerospace and clean technology.
​
Lori started Possible by Design to build something that has been missing: a clear, systems‑level picture of how we get from here to a sustainable future, supported by practical tools that help people see their own agency and take wise action on smart policy.
​
For Lori, this work is grounded in care - for people, for the planet, and for future generations. She is continually humbled by, and deeply grateful for, the volunteers and supporters who make this work stronger, steadier, and more possible every day.
Lori has a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and a Master's in Electrical Engineering.

Volunteer, Social Justice Practicum Student, Adler University
Melanie Szirony
Having lived in British Columbia her entire life, Melanie feels deeply connected to its beautiful landscape which has long shaped her commitment to protecting the environment.
With a background in rehabilitation, Melanie has focused on helping people find empowerment and meaning through healthy, informed decision-making. She now hopes to apply those skills in the context of climate change. Melanie is currently taking a Psychology Master's program in Health and Wellness, where she studies evidence-based approaches to creating healthier systems.

Melanie is excited to support Possible by Design, whose systems-based approach to planetary challenges offers practical, hopeful ways for people to focus on positive and constructive steps forward.

Rob Reid
Rob was inspired by the boldness behind Possible by Design and was eager to support the effort. One of the strengths Rob brings to the organization is to take complex, analytical information and summarize it into messaging that is clearer and easier for others to relate to.

Rob believes that climate change has started slipping out of the spotlight in recent years, which makes initiatives like Possible by Design essential—something we need to actively address together.
​
Rob enjoys biking, traveling, learning languages, and embracing new experiences that help him continue exploring and appreciating life.​

Tracy Huitika
Tracy is a technology leader with over 25 years of experience driving innovation, building high-performing teams, and leading complex engineering organizations. Throughout her career, Tracy has been passionate about leveraging technology to solve meaningful problems and create lasting impact.
As a board member of Possible by Design, Tracy is committed to advancing solutions that empower individuals to address climate change and live more sustainably. This mission is deeply personal: Tracy is driven by the belief that we have a responsibility to leave the world better for the next generation, including her daughters. By supporting education, access to resources, and community-driven action, Tracy aims to help build a future where sustainable living is both achievable and inspiring for all.

Vanessa Nicastro
Vanessa has spent her whole life in North Vancouver, where being surrounded by nature has shaped her deep appreciation for the environment. Influenced by her Italian heritage, she carries a strong sense of community and care for the world around her.

She is passionate about living sustainably and being mindful of the impact everyday choices have on the environment, especially when it comes to energy use at home.
​
Vanessa recently began a Master’s program to build a career in Counselling supporting and guiding others. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, and taking long walks.
